Yes I did.
Ok so here's the deal: I've been transiting from relaxed to natural for almost exactly one year. If you've ever transitioned, you already know that the more natural hair that grows in, the more difficult it becomes to maintain two textures of hair. I had 3 choices:
1. Relax my hair
2. Do a "Medium Chop"
3. Continue to suffer
I choose #2 lol.
I didn't feel comfortable doing a "big chop." I have about 4-5 inches of new growth and I didn't want to devastate myself so I settled on a long bob. Here's what I look like now:
As you can see, I cut a significant amount of hair off but left enough to have a little fun with.
Here's my plan:
1. Keep the bob until I eventually cut all of the relaxed hair out.
2. After all the relaxed hair is gone I will begin to grow it back long as a full natural
3. This is random but my neck is cold
As a side note: People often ask me if I would be scared to cut my hair. The truth is that as much as I LOVE hair, it doesn't define who I am. In order to get to big result that I'm aiming for I had to make a drastic change. What changes do you need to make but fear is holding you back?
Trust God and take the plunge!!!
